"For Radio On" is 6 episodes towards a reflexion on cassettes, a tribute to the “tape in a box” which celebrates her 50 years in 2013. This special program for Radio On can be also considered as an outlet of what goes on in my laboratory under the roof, with the aim to look for new personal ways to use cassette tapes in my performances and materials in my work of composition.

Episode #1 - Guests On Tape (Scénario Possible)

Looking for new personal ways to use cassettes for performances and composition, “Guests on Tape” is the first episode produced by Anton Mobin of an ongoing serie of 6 programs celebrating cassette tapes to be 
broadcasted on Radio On by Adrian Shephard and Rinus van Alebeek.

Scénario Possible is a recent attempt of recording of a revisited solo set in which Anton Mobin plays Friends, which i feel enough satifacting to consider this recording as a witness of what could be possible with this method. This sub-title let guess many others scénarios in the future...

All sounds, instruments, field recordings you hear have been sent by you and mostly of them have been previously recorded at the Maïzing Studio with the artists during collaboration, improv session or radio show at home.
These sounds have been edited, some have been processed, some have been baddly treated and others are safe... Then, all materials have been fixed on tapes to play with (one artist per side or sometimes one artist on a complete cassette).

Those 11 tracks are real-time compositions on tapes recorded live on 25 february 2013, played with 3 magnetos cassette, a walkman and a dictaphone. (Some are softly edited (in/out).

Definitively “Guests on Tape” is nourishing by all precious meetings, this project is a kind of testimony of them, offering a wealth and a quality of hallucinating sounds, a kind of “big ensemble for tapes” in which all sounds are hijacked from their original context of recording and re-use as new sound materials, under another form.
